

WILLIAM LOMAN
Co-Founder, Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary
Born and raised in the factory town of Pittsburgh, PA (known as "Steel Valley"), and as Co-Founder of Long View Action, Mr. Loman has served for over twenty-five years advising private and public sector companies on a broad range of corporate matters with extensive experience in matters regarding business transactions, nonprofit organizations, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance and securities.
Prior to joining Long View Action, Mr. Loman served as the General Counsel for Democracy Forward Foundation, a national legal organization that advances democracy and social progress through litigation, policy and public education, and regulatory engagement, and Catalist, LLC, a data information, management and analytics company that provides voter data and information to political and nonprofit organizations. Mr. Loman has also served as Associate General Counsel for the industry-leading information technology and management consulting company, BearingPoint, Inc., where he played a key role in the execution of multi-million-dollar transactional agreements with the company’s largest commercial clients, as well as the development and implementation of risk mitigation strategies and dispute avoidance. Prior to joining BearingPoint, Mr. Loman held key senior positions in the General Counsel office at Acterna Corporation and DoubleClick and was a Corporate Finance and Securities Associate at the law firm of Bryan Cave in New York.
Mr. Loman served with high distinction in the United States Marine Corps Division of the Judge Advocate General Corps and earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.A. degree in Sociology/Political Science from Howard University, with high honors. Mr. Loman is a member of the New York State Bar, New York State Bar Association and American Bar Association.
During his professional career, Mr. Loman has received numerous academic honors and military awards. Academically, he was a member of the Golden Key National Honor Society, a United States Achievement Academy All American Scholar, a Howard University Trustee Scholar, a Senior Notes Editor of the Journal of Law and Politics and was elected President of the Black Law Students Association at the University of Virginia School of Law. Militarily, he was awarded the Naval Achievement Medal for Distinguished Service, the Non-Commissioned Officer Peer Leadership Award, and the Sea Service Deployment Medal - among numerous other military awards.
